 note = {The outdoor thermal environment is affected by various factors, e.g. wind velocity, solar radiation, convective and radiative heat transports etc. Recently, there have been some attempts to develop the numerical method for predicting the outdoor environment incorporating the effects of these factors. In the numerical simulation of urban area, it is very impotant that the precise land-use data for boudary condition is provided. However, there are few detailed digital data except for metropolitan area. In this study, a method is developed to establish a detailed digital database of land-use based on disital map and 1:2500 scale map. By this method, Nagaoka city is selected as a case study. Numerical results are compared with the field measuremanet and the accuracy of numerical methods developed here is demonstrated.},
