But when they do so, they almost always associate her with eroticism. Even those who regard Antony as a tragic protagonist rarely regard her as such. And some of those who acknowledge her nobleness in the end claim the discrepancy between her Circe-like character before Antony's death and her angelic character afterwards. However, when we scrutinize the play, we will notice her deep love for Antony behind her Circe-like character. In fact, she tries Antony because of her strong affection toward him. Therefore, when she feels his deep love through his death, she also dies for him, conquering her fear for death.
