We focused on existence of the trains, heat generated by trains and station buildings in the factors of air temperature rise on platforms. Air temperature on platform VII was varied within 0.5 degrees depending on the presence or absence of trains. When the heat generated by trains was considered, air temperature on Shinkansen platforms was 1 degree higher than that when trains generated no heat.
