Britain and the United States suspected that Japan wasn't serious enough to deal with the alliance among Germany and Italy. Japan, instead, showed her strong interests to form an economic treaty with French IndoChina in 6th in May, and a trade treaty with Soviet Russia in 11th in June. The Anglo・Russo military treaty was formed in 12th in July, and Anglo・American・Russo Lend Lease Pact was effectuated from 1st in October. Those two treaties strengthened America's helping hand to Soviet Russia, but on the other hand, more and more weakened the security defense of the British territory in southeast Asia.
